The Advanced Fuels Fund provides grant funding to first-of-a-kind commercial and demonstration-scale projects within the UK.
Eligible development stages include:
- Feasibility
- Pre-FEED (Pre-Front-End Engineering Design)
- FEED (Front-End Engineering Design)
- Detailed Design
- Procurement of Main Equipment
Funding covers up to 50% of eligible project costs during Detailed Design and Procurement stages.
Funding awarded:
- Five successful projects under Window 1
- Nine successful projects under Window 2
- Up to £63 million available under Window 3
A dedicated 50% funding pot is available for projects using CO₂ as their primary carbon source.
